General Guidelines for all Applicants
To be eligible for funding, your 501(c)(3) organization must meet our grant
criteria. We will accept proposals for project support or seed funding for
new programs, but the Foundation does not provide loans or fund individuals,
deficit funding, medical research, or efforts designed to influence
legislation or elect public officers. The Foundation will only support
organizations with strong and consistently applied non-discrimination
policies. While each proposal is thoroughly reviewed, we regret that it is
impossible to fund every worthwhile request.
How To Submit a Request For Funding
All prospective grantees that fall within the Red Empress Foundation ‘s giving priority areas are asked to first submit a one-page letter of inquiry. This letter includes the following information:
- Amount requested, intended use of funding and total cost to achieve stated goals.
- How the request fits the Red Empress Foundation’s focus areas.
- Amount of organization’s operating budget.
